USU Directorate of Innovation, Sustainable Development, and Science and Technology Area Congratulates Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin on His Appointment as Chair of the ICMI North Sumatra Regional Board for 2025–2030

MEDAN – The Directorate of Innovation, Sustainable Development, and Science and Technology Area (Dit. IPBKST) of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) extends its congratulations and best wishes to Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara, on his inauguration as Chair of the North Sumatra Regional Board (Organisasi Wilayah or Orwil) of the Indonesian Muslim Scholars Association (ICMI) for the 2025–2030 term.

This inauguration marks an important moment in strengthening the role of Muslim scholars in supporting regional development, advancing knowledge, and improving human resource quality. Through leadership grounded in integrity and progress, ICMI is expected to continue contributing to the development of ideas, innovations, and solutions that benefit society.

The USU Directorate of Innovation, Sustainable Development, and Science and Technology Area considers synergy among higher education institutions, scholarly organizations, the government, and various stakeholders to be an important factor in achieving sustainable development. Such collaboration is expected to strengthen the research and innovation ecosystem, promote the application of science and technology, and enhance academics’ contributions to addressing various development challenges.

In line with Universitas Sumatera Utara’s commitment to advancing innovation and sustainable development, the USU Directorate of Innovation, Sustainable Development, and Science and Technology Area hopes that Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., will carry out this entrusted responsibility successfully and contribute to ICMI’s progress, particularly in North Sumatra.
