In an effort to strengthen synergy, coordination, and collaboration among work units within Universitas Sumatera Utara, the Directorate of Sustainable Development Innovation for Science and Technology Areas (Dit.IPBKST.USU) held a coordination meeting with the Directorate of Internationalization and Development of Achievement and Innovation (DITP3I), along with Vice Deans III from various faculties at USU. The activity was carried out as part of a strategic effort to align work programs, strengthen innovation development, and improve the achievements of students and institutions in a sustainable manner.
The coordination meeting became an important momentum to build more effective communication among units, particularly in supporting the implementation of the university’s flagship programs focused on innovation development, research downstreaming, strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem, developing student achievements, and increasing the contribution of higher education institutions to sustainable development. During the forum, various strategic issues were discussed, including strengthening cross-faculty collaboration, optimizing student potential, and developing programs capable of enhancing the competitiveness of Universitas Sumatera Utara at both national and international levels.
In addition to serving as a forum for discussion and coordination, the activity also aimed to unify shared steps and commitments in creating an academic environment that is innovative, adaptive, and collaborative. The Vice Deans III, as faculty leaders responsible for student affairs, cooperation, and achievement development, are expected to serve as strategic connectors in implementing various programs initiated by Dit.IPBKST.USU and DITP3I at the faculty level.
Through this coordination meeting, it is expected that stronger synergy will be established between the directorates and faculties in supporting student potential development, strengthening a culture of innovation, and accelerating the implementation of sustainable development programs based on science and technology. The activity also reflects a shared commitment to supporting the vision of Universitas Sumatera Utara as a leading university capable of producing innovations that create impact for society, industry, and national development.
